If you are a young entrepreneur with a bold business idea or an early-stage startup, this is your chance to secure funding, mentorship, and visibility.

The First Heritage Co-operative Credit Union (FHC) has officially opened applications for its 2026 Micro & Small Business Entrepreneurship Awards, designed to support and empower the next generation of business leaders.

 About the Entrepreneurship Awards

The FHC Entrepreneurship Awards is an initiative aimed at encouraging innovation and supporting youth-led businesses.

Successful applicants will receive:

๐Ÿ’ฐ Grant funding of up to $500,000

๐Ÿ“ˆ Opportunity to scale or launch a business

๐Ÿค Access to mentorship and additional financing opportunities

๐ŸŒ Exposure to investors and a wider business network

According to official sources, three winners will each receive $500,000 to fund their business ideas or expand existing ventures. 

 Who Is This For?

This opportunity is specifically designed for:

๐ŸŽ“ Final-year university/tertiary students with at least a “B” average

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝ‍๐Ÿ’ผ Young entrepreneurs (up to age 35)

๐Ÿ’ก Individuals or teams with:

A viable business idea, or

An existing early-stage business seeking growth funding

Applicants are expected to submit a comprehensive business plan that demonstrates feasibility, innovation, and growth potential.

๐Ÿ“ฉ Submission: Business plans must be emailed as instructed by the organizers

Late applications are typically not considered, so early submission is highly recommended.

What They Are Looking For

FHC is not just giving out money—they are investing in ideas that can grow and create impact.

Your business plan should clearly show:

✔️ Target market and demand

✔️ Revenue model

✔️ Sustainability and scalability

✔️ Social or economic impact

The top three most feasible business plans will be selected for funding.
