University of Saskatchewan Scholarship 2027

The University of Saskatchewan (USask) in Canada offers entrance scholarships for new undergraduate students, and several are open to international applicants. Nigerians can apply for admission and be considered for these awards.

What is it all about?

USask is a research university in Saskatoon, known for water and food security and for health research. You don't submit a separate form for most entrance awards. You apply for admission, and the university considers you automatically based on your grades.

Main scholarships to know👇

•International Excellence Award || $10,000 || Automatic, based on grades, for international students

•USask Entrance Scholarships || $5,000 || Automatic. 600 are awarded each year

•Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships || Up to $40,000 over four years || Separate application in the PAWS portal; based on academics, leadership and community involvement

•Competitive Entrance Awards||Varies|| Application in PAWS; scholarships and bursaries

The International Excellence Award is the one specifically for international students, and only one is offered.

Are Nigerians eligible?

Yes, as international applicants.

-You must be a new undergraduate entering a direct-entry programme.

-You must have little or no previous university study.

-Your grades decide the automatic awards.

-You must meet USask's admission and English-language requirements.

-USask's page doesn't restrict the Best and Brightest awards by citizenship. Confirm the details for your situation on the official page.

Who is it for?

Nigerian secondary school graduates and school-leavers who want to study in Canada. This post doesn't cover Master's or PhD funding, which is handled separately through USask graduate studies.
