David Oyedepo Foundation Scholarship 2026/2027 — Applications Are Now Open!
If you or someone you know is a young, academically excellent African student dreaming of a world-class university education without the financial burden, this is the opportunity you have been waiting for. The David Oyedepo Foundation (DOF) Scholarship Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session is now officially open for applications!
What Is the David Oyedepo Foundation Scholarship?
The David Oyedepo Foundation Scholarship Programme is the major platform for promoting the Foundation's vision and goals. It awards full-ride scholarships to qualified individuals who are indigenes and residents of African countries, and seeks to develop youth leaders who are ready to put their learned skills to work in leading organizations, communities, and their local countries.
Who Is It For?
Before applying, applicants must meet the following requirements: be citizens and permanent residents of Nigeria or any other country in Africa; be at least age 16 and not exceeding 25 at the time of application submission; be well-proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; and demonstrate an outstanding academic track record during their time in secondary school.
For Nigerian applicants specifically, a minimum of 20 marks above the JAMB official cut-off marks is required, alongside a minimum of 80% or 4.0 GPA/5.0 in the secondary school transcript.
Applicants must also have begun admission applications to either Covenant University or Landmark University — and must apply to only one of the two institutions, as applying to both may attract disqualification.
What Does the Scholarship Cover?
The scholarship is fully funded and covers tuition for up to 5 years — the standard duration of the programme. It also covers academic fees, though recipients may need to cover accommodation, meals, travel, medicals, and other personal expenses.
Where Will You Study?
The scholarship is for study at Covenant University in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria, and Landmark University in Omu-Aran, Kwara State, Nigeria. Both are among Nigeria's most prestigious private universities.
How Does the Selection Work?
The scholarship programme selection process is a need-dependent, merit-based open competition. After the deadline, all eligible applications are reviewed by a selection panel. Chosen finalists are then interviewed by the David Oyedepo Foundation team through an online video conferencing platform.
Successful scholarship applicants will receive their award from July, and are expected to resume lectures at Covenant or Landmark Universities between August and September 2026.
