 Amahoro Fellowship Cohort 4 Applications Are NOW OPEN 




Are you a young changemaker with lived experience of forced displacement? Do you want to scale your impact, grow your leadership, and access mentorship and funding to build your vision? If so, the Amahoro Fellowship Cohort 4 might be your next big opportunity! 

The Amahoro Coalition — with support from partners like the Mastercard Foundation and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) — has officially opened applications for Cohort 4 of its Fellowship Program, welcoming passionate young leaders ready to drive lasting change in their communities and beyond. 

๐Ÿ”Ž What Is the Amahoro Fellowship?

The Amahoro Fellowship is a 12-month virtual leadership and support programme designed for exceptional young people who have lived experience as Forcibly Displaced Persons (FDPs). The program helps fellows deepen their leadership skills, strengthen their ventures or initiatives, and expand their networks so they can create real impact and build economic inclusion


๐Ÿ‘ค Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for Cohort 4, you should:

- Be 18 – 35 years old at the time of application 

- Have lived experience as a forcibly displaced person (this includes refugees and other displaced youth) 

- Be leading a business, social impact initiative, advocacy platform, or community project 

- Have at least 1-2 years of progress or evidence in your work (e.g., business registration, revenue, partnerships, awards, media features) 

- Show creativity, resilience and problem-solving ability 

- Be comfortable communicating in English and have basic digital skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.) 

- Be willing to commit about 10-15 hours per week from August 2026 to September 2027 to virtual workshops and activities 

๐ŸŽ What Fellows Will Receive

Selected fellows benefit from powerful tools to grow their work and leadership:

✨ Mentorship and professional coaching 

✨ Connections with industry and private-sector leaders 

Leadership and thought-leadership development 

✨ Business development and technical support 

✨ Funding opportunities, including eligibility for up to $155,000 in blended financing for select fellows 

✨ Monthly stipends to support data and electricity costs during the programme �

By the end of the fellowship, you also join the Amahoro Alumni Network — a community of leaders and innovators across Africa that supports ongoing growth and opportunities.

Upload the required documents (including a tailored CV and proof of your enterprise or impact initiative). 

Submit your application before the deadline: 28 February 2026.
