What Is the One Africa Young Leaders Fellowship 2026?
The fellowship is organised by the African Leadership Initiatives for Impact (ALII). This is its 1st edition, held as part of African Youth Month 2026. It runs 1–8 November 2026 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The theme is "Bridging Intergenerational Leadership for One Africa's Shared Future." The programme is a one-week residential experience built around:

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility)
Applicants must:
•Be an African citizen aged 15 to 35
•Hold a senior management position in an institution, company or organisation, or represent citizens in decision-making structures
•Have demonstrated experience contributing to or leading efforts towards a peaceful and prosperous society
•Show a strong interest in One Africa's Shared Future
•ALII is looking for purpose-driven, innovative and community-minded young people, such as founders, community organisers, movement builders and professionals.

Nigerian and other West African applicants compete for the 10 West Africa slots, so a clear, compelling application matters.
Is the Fellowship Funded? Costs Explained
No, this is a self-funded programme. Please read this carefully before applying.
-You cover your own travel to and from Tanzania.
-Selected fellows pay a participation fee of USD 400 (non-Tanzanians) or TZS 500,000 (Tanzanians).
-The fee is paid only after selection, two weeks before the programme.
-No payment is required to apply.
-The fee covers local transport, meals, 8 nights' accommodation, fellowship training, a certificate of participation, tourism activities, and airport pick-up and drop-off.
