Leventis Foundation agribusiness funding 2026, agribusiness grant Nigeria, LFN Agribusiness Access to Capital Programme, ₦5 million agribusiness funding
Are you an agripreneur in Nigeria looking for capital to start or grow your business? The Leventis Foundation Nigeria (LFN) has opened applications for its 2026 Agribusiness Funding Programme, offering up to ₦5 million in start-up and expansion capital. Applications close on 21 October 2026.
What Is the Leventis Foundation Agribusiness Funding Programme?
The programme (listed on the foundation's website as the LFN Agribusiness Access to Capital Programme) provides concessionary business start-up and expansion capital to current and former LFN trainees. Concessionary funding is capital offered on softer, more favourable terms than a typical commercial loan.
Funding is delivered through a grant award or loan disbursement, so winners should expect a mix of support rather than a purely cash prize.

-About the Leventis Foundation Nigeria
The foundation was established in 1988 to take over and expand the work of the "Nigeria Advisory Panel" of the A. G. Leventis Foundation, which had been active since 1979. Its vision is to attract young people into agriculture and support them to adopt improved, eco-friendly farming practices and technology.
It runs six agricultural training schools in Dogon Dawa, Idoani (Ondo), Kano, Tumu (Gombe), Ilesha (Osun) and Yaba (Abuja). According to its Executive Director, Dr Hope Usieta, the foundation has trained about 31,000 young farmers since inception, and roughly 70% of them are still active in business.
The foundation has also been working on the agribusiness funding gap by partnering with financial institutions, development banks and private investors. This programme is part of that push.
