Mira Fellowship 2027 Cohort — Applications Are Open (Deadline: June 1, 2026)
If you have a bold idea that could change a system, a community, or the world — and you've been looking for the right people to help you build it — this might be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
The Mira Fellowship 2027 Cohort is now open for applications, and the deadline is just days away.
What Is the Mira Fellowship?
The Mira Fellowship describes itself as a social venture incubator focused on helping changemakers transform bold ideas into impactful ventures. It supports individuals committed to addressing the root causes of social challenges and building compassionate, future-focused systems — rather than simply working around existing problems.
Think of it as a co-founder you don't have to pay. Once admitted, Fellows collaborate with the Mira team to frame, research, test, and refine their ideas into clear, compelling stories and actionable plans — whatever stage their project is at, whether that's securing funding, refining a prototype, or strengthening a go-to-market strategy. What Does the 2027 Cohort Look Like?
The 2027 Cohort will be a six-month intensive journey beginning in September 2026. Fellows gather in person for a 2–3 day summit (with lodging provided), while the majority of programming takes place virtually. Many Fellows continue working full- or part-time jobs during the Fellowship.
What Do Fellows Receive?
Every accepted Fellow gets a bespoke support package that includes:
1:1 coaching matched with seasoned for-profit and nonprofit entrepreneurs, tailored to each Fellow's specific needs; cohort collaboration including virtual calls and peer partnerships for ongoing accountability; an in-person summit covering alternative perspectives, community engagement, prototyping, and storytelling; and micro-grants to support alternative perspectives research and immersive work.
When projects are ready, the Mira team connects Fellows with their network of motivated donors and investors looking for committed visionaries to take them to the next level.
Who Is This For? (Eligibility)
The Mira Fellowship is designed for mid-career professionals — people with enough experience to deeply understand the problem they're solving and the conviction to make it their life's work. There is no specific age requirement; "mid-career" is defined by experience, not age.
The fellowship is open internationally, welcoming applicants from any country pursuing projects with the potential for global or widespread impact.
You might be a Mira Fellow if you are:
-Tackling a complex, systemic problem with a bold solution; observant and flexible, with an openness to test your assumptions; determined to push through challenges; collaborative and eager to learn from diverse perspectives; and deeply knowledgeable in your field with a proven track record.
-Applicants do not necessarily need to run large organizations or funded startups. The fellowship is particularly interested in people with bold ideas, strong purpose, and a commitment to systemic change.
What Do You Need to Apply?
The application requires: a 2-minute video statement (a simple story about something that happened to you recently — they're interested in how you tell it); a PDF resume; and a written materials document covering your idea and its impact (500 words), an impact visual showing the world after your idea is implemented, your resources and key milestones, why you are uniquely qualified, and why this work must begin now.
There is a $20 application fee. However, the Mira Fellowship team does not want this to be a barrier — if it presents a hardship, you can reach out to them directly at info@mirafellowship.org
What Happens After You Apply?
Selected candidates are contacted within 2–3 weeks for further discussion. The process ensures each Fellow's vision is understood and matched with the support necessary for success.
