ONE LAST CHANCE TO JOIN HARVARD'S PREMIER LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE IN HANOI
HPAIR ACONF 2026 · Hanoi, Vietnam · August 19–23, 2026
⏰ Application Deadline Extended to May 15, 2026
The Harvard College Project for Asian and International Relations has extended its application deadline for ACONF 2026 to May 15th, 2026. If you missed the first window, this is your second shot — and you should not waste it.
What Is HPAIR?
The Harvard College Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) is one of the most respected student-run organisations in the world. Founded in 1991 at Harvard University, it was created to build a global forum where students and young professionals could engage seriously with the most pressing economic, political, and social issues shaping the Asia-Pacific region.
Over more than three decades, HPAIR has organised 49 conferences across 34 countries, touching the lives of more than 40,000 students and young professionals worldwide. It has become far more than a conference series — it is a pipeline for global leadership.
HPAIR ACONF 2026 — Hanoi, Vietnam
This year's Asia Conference takes place in Hanoi, Vietnam from August 19–23, 2026. It is a 5-day immersive programme bringing together students, young professionals, and changemakers from across the globe to engage with world leaders, business executives, academics, and policymakers in real, substantive conversations.
The theme for 2026 is "Rising with Resolve" — a theme that speaks directly to the moment we are living in. A world shaped by geopolitical shifts, technological disruption, and deep uncertainty. The conference frames the central question not simply as how the next generation will rise, but how we rise with resolve in the face of that complexity.
Who Should Apply?
HPAIR ACONF 2026 is open to:
-University students from any discipline — business, law, tech, medicine, humanities, social sciences
-Young professionals eager to engage in global dialogue and cross-sector thinking
-Changemakers, entrepreneurs, and aspiring leaders interested in Asia's role in shaping the world
-Anyone who is at least 18 years old as of August 19, 2026
-Any nationality — this is a fully open, global conference
There is no requirement to attend a specific university or come from a particular academic background. HPAIR deliberately casts a wide net because great ideas and future leaders come from everywhere.
Why You Should Apply
This is not a typical student conference. HPAIR ACONF has previously hosted speakers including McKinsey Managing Partners, the CEO of Quora, former U.S. Trade Representatives, senior diplomats, and leading academics. The 2026 edition features a confirmed lineup of former Deputy Ministers, senior TPG Capital advisors, Professors of International Relations, and senior policy figures from across Asia.
As a delegate, you will have access to:
-Keynote addresses by globally recognised leaders from business, policy, academia, and the non-profit world
-Panel discussions on economics, technology, sustainability, healthcare, and global policy
-Executive seminars offering rare, deep-dive access to senior executives and decision-makers
-Interactive workshops designed for real collaboration — not just listening
-A global network of peers, leaders, and professionals that extends well beyond the five days
-Cultural immersion in Hanoi, one of Southeast Asia's most dynamic and historically rich capitals
As HPAIR puts it: "The real question facing young generations today is not simply how to rise, but how we rise with resolve amid that uncertainty." This conference is where that conversation happens — in the room, with the people who are shaping the answers.
Practical Details
The conference includes a participation fee, which covers full access to all programming, lunches throughout the five days, and dinner on the opening ceremony day. Delegates are responsible for their own accommodation and travel, but HPAIR provides support in identifying suitable options.
Financial assistance is available through HPAIR's scholarship programme. Do not let finances be the reason you do not apply — that option exists for a reason.
All deadlines are in Eastern Time (ET). Factor in your time zone before submitting.
