 AfCFTA & Korea Africa Foundation Are Looking for 30 African Startups to Take Global — Is Yours Ready?

The African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat (AfCFTA), in partnership with the Korea Africa Foundation (KAF), has officially launched the AfCFTA Startup Acceleration & Partnership Programme 2026 — and they are looking for 30 high-potential African startups to support.

What Is This Programme?

This is a flagship initiative designed to support African startups in scaling their businesses, strengthening innovation capacity, and expanding into global markets — with a special focus on Korea.  

Think of it as a launchpad. The programme aims to promote innovation, commercialisation, and cross-border collaboration among African startups while encouraging investment and partnership opportunities that can strengthen Africa's startup ecosystem. 

Who Should Apply?

The programme is targeted at startups with innovative and scalable business models. Applicants are expected to demonstrate clear readiness for international expansion and show interest in entering the Korean market as well as other international markets.  

Your startup must operate in one of these priority sectors:

Fintech, e-commerce, logistics, agri-tech, manufacturing, and digital platforms.  

In simple terms — if your business is ready to grow beyond your current market, has a working model, and fits any of those sectors, you qualify to apply.

What Will You Gain?

Participating startups will receive support aimed at enhancing competitiveness and scalability. The initiative will also help founders explore cross-border business opportunities and connect with potential investors and strategic partners.
