Cucumber and Lemon Juice Toner for Oily Skin DIY 1 How to: 01. Take a fresh aloe vera leaf. 02. Using a sharp knife, cut the leaf vertically from the middle. 03. Now make them superficial slits on the gel portion of the leaf to extract the gel. 04. Collect the fresh gel in a container. 05. Take two teaspoons of this gel in a separate container. 06. Add 4 tablespoons of cucumber juice to this aloe vera gel. 07. Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Mix well. 08. Pour this mixture into a spray bottle. 06. Apply this toner on your face using a cotton ball. 07. Use this toner two times a day. 08. You need not wash your skin after its application. DIY 2 How to: 01. Boil 3 tablespoons of flaxseeds in ½ cup of water. 02. Boil the water until it changes in color. 03. Strain the water immediately. 04. Store the seeds in a separate container so that they can be used for the next time. 05. Now let the water cool down completely. 06. As the water begins to cool down, it will turn into a gel. 07. Take 3 tablespoons of this freshly prepared flaxseed gel. 08. Add 4 tablespoons of cucumber juice to this flaxseed gel. 09. Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Mix well. 10. Pour this mixture into a spray bottle. 11. Apply this toner on your face using a cotton ball. 12. Use this toner two times a day. 13. You need not wash your skin after its application. DIY 3 How to: 01. Take 3 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar. 02. Add 5 tablespoons of cucumber juice to this. 03. Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. 04. Add 1/4th cup of rose water to this mixture. 05. Mix well. 06. Pour this mixture into a spray bottle. 07. Apply this toner on your face using a cotton ball. 08. Use this toner two times a day. 09. You need not wash your skin after its application. How this helps: Cucumber juice – cucumber juice is very beneficial for the skin. This is because cucumber has soothing properties. It helps in the soothing irritated skin. This is very helpful for oily skin since irritated skin produces more oil. Cucumber juice also helps in reducing inflammation. Hence it helps in reducing the size of enlarged pores as well and fights acne. Cucumber juice can also help in fading away pigmentation slowly. Lemon juice – lemon juice contains small amounts of glycolic acid which help in exfoliating the skin. Lemon juice is drying in nature and hence it helps to mattify the skin and make it less shiny. It reduces the oil production and reduces the dullness due to oil deposition on the face. Lemon juice is also rich in antioxidants and vitamin C which enhance the appearance of the skin. the glycolic acid present in the juice helps in exfoliating the skin and fading away scars. Rose water – rose water helps in balancing the pH level of the skin and soothes inflammation. Aloe vera gel – aloe vera gel hydrates the skin. Since it is water based, it does not clog the pores and does not make the skin greasy or heavy. Flaxseed gel – flaxseed gel is a rich source of antioxidants and also contains omega 3 fatty acids which help in making the skin glow.
