African entrepreneurs now have another opportunity to access funding, training, and global exposure as the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) officially opens applications for its 2026 Entrepreneurship Programme.
The programme targets young African entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas or existing startups that are less than five years old, across all 54 African countries.
TEF continues its mission to empower entrepreneurs who can drive economic growth, create jobs, and transform communities across the continent.
What Selected Entrepreneurs Will Receive👇
Successful applicants will benefit from a comprehensive entrepreneurship support package, including:
1. Seed Capital Funding: A $5,000 non-refundable grant to start or scale their businesses.
2. Business Training: World-class online business management training via the TEFConnect platform, covering finance, marketing, operations, and more.
3. Mentorship: One-on-one guidance from experienced business leaders and industry experts.
4. Global Networking: Access to the extensive TEF Alumni Network, connecting entrepreneurs to investors, policymakers, and fellow founders across Africa.

1. Nationality/Residency: Open to citizens and legal residents of any African country.
2. Business Stage: Applicants must have a business idea or an existing startup not older than five years.
3. Sector: Open to all sectors, including Agriculture, Technology, Healthcare, Education, Fashion, Manufacturing, and others.
4. Age Requirement: Applicants must be 18 years or older.
