The programme helps participants move beyond basic digitalization to full digital transformation- leveraging technology to expand markets, enhance productivity, and drive sustainable business growth within the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)

Organized by: 1Million AfCFTA impact Hub

Powered by: PABL Solutions Ltd

In partnership with: International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO)

Through a blend of self-paced learning, expert mentorship, and practical guidance, participants gain confidence and technical capability to position their ventures competitively in Africa's evolving digital landscape.

 Why This Programme Is Essential

Across Africa, countless women entrepreneurs continue to face significant digital and operational challenges that restrict business growth and visibility. These include limited online presence, inefficient communication systems, heavy reliance on manual processes, low access to affordable digital tools, and weak confidence in technology adoption. Such barriers not only hinder enterprise competitiveness but also slow down inclusive economic development on the continent.

The WiDB initiative seeks to bridge this digital divide—helping women-led businesses unlock their potential, reach new markets, and participate fully in Africa’s interconnected digital trade ecosystem.

Programme Goals

The WiDB Training of Entrepreneurs Programme aims to:

- Enhance Digital Empowerment: Equip women entrepreneurs with essential digital skills to strengthen their brand visibility, communication strategies, and online sales.

- Foster Market Integration: Enable access to AfCFTA’s digital marketplace, connecting women-owned SMEs to cross-border trade opportunities.
- Boost Enterprise Competitiveness: Support the transition to data-driven, scalable business models that improve efficiency and profitability.
- Encourage Innovation & Sustainability: Inspire creative use of technology to build resilient, tech-enabled enterprises.

- Promote Inclusive Growth: Narrow the digital gender gap and ensure women benefit equitably from Africa’s digital transformation.
