π What Is the SDGs Advocate Programme?
The SDGs Advocate Programme is a 4-month intensive training and advocacy initiative designed to equip young people with the knowledge, tools, and practical skills needed to champion the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in their communities.
This programme is hosted by youth-focused development networks working with partners to raise awareness about the 17 global SDGs – a set of goals adopted by world leaders in 2015 to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all by 2030.
π― Why This Programme Matters
The SDGs Advocate Programme targets youth leaders and aspiring changemakers interested in learning how sustainable development works and how they can drive community actions that contribute to achieving the SDGs at the local and national level.
✔️ It responds to the need for youth-led advocacy and grass-roots action towards Nigeria’s sustainable development.
✔️ It strengthens young people’s capacity to design and implement SDG-aligned projects.
✔️ It builds a nationwide community of advocates who can educate, mobilize, and lead in understanding and implementing SDGs locally.
